  • You will need your UTR and National Insurance number to complete this.

Once you have found out that you are eligible you will be given a date and time from which you can make the claim. This can be from the 13th May to the 18th May 2020.

You will then be asked to log in or register to the HMRC account online.

If you do not have an online account already, you can register for an account online. You will need the following details:

  • Email address (a code will be sent to the email during the process)
  • Mobile (again a code will be sent)
  • Password
  • Driving licence / Passport / or multiple choice questions from a credit bureau.

This account will take approx. 10 mins to create.

HMRC have announced that there will be additional ways to claim. These have not yet been announced and may be slower than the online submission

HMRC have also announced that once you have made the claim the money will be in your account within 6 days.
