Broadfield Capital investment supports next phase of growth at Charlton Baker

We have some exciting news! We’re delighted to announce a significant milestone in Charlton Baker’s journey, with an investment from independent sponsor Broadfield Capital, alongside the completion of three bolt‑on acquisitions as part of the transaction.

The investment from Broadfield Capital supports our continued buy‑and‑build strategy, as we work to consolidate a highly fragmented accountancy market across the South West. To date, we have successfully acquired fourteen local accountancy firms, and with Broadfield’s backing we have completed a further three acquisitions as part of this transaction.

Led by Group CEO Scott Sartin, and supported by a highly experienced leadership team, we have a strong pipeline of acquisition opportunities, alongside clear plans to accelerate organic growth through new client relationships across the region.

This partnership marks the second platform investment for Broadfield Capital, founded by Managing Partner Guy Ellis, following his successful track record at Rockpool Investments where he deployed over £50 million into the UK lower mid‑market. Broadfield is backed by institutional investors, family offices and high‑net‑worth individuals across the UK, Europe and the US.
